Gea Norvegica UNESCO Global Geopark aims to:

Strategy

The area has extremely high geological diversity, both nationally and internationally.

Several geological sites in the geopark are of European and international top class.

The region has relied on geological resources for at least 500 years, especially iron ore and ironworks, which played a key role in Norway’s early industrialization.

Board of Representatives
The Board of Representatives is the highest authority, consisting of 11 politically elected members-one from each municipality and four from the counties.
